You don't need hours of free time to live a spiritual life. You need a few small doorways, placed where you'll walk through them every day. A breath before breakfast. A pause at noon. A few words of thanks before sleep.
Below is a simple daily rhythm. Try it for one week. Keep what helps. Change what doesn't. The best practice is the one you'll actually do.
A daily rhythm
Morning
Set the tone
Before you check your phone, sit up, take five slow breaths and set one intention for the day: "Today I choose patience," or "Today I look for beauty."
Midday
Come back
At lunch, stop for one minute. Feel your feet on the floor. Ask, "Where am I right now?" Then eat your first three bites slowly, with thanks.
Evening
Let go
Before sleep, name three things you're grateful for and one thing you're ready to release. Forgive the day, and yourself, for what didn't go well.

Weekly practices
Once a week, add something a little larger. Pick one of these and give it a place on your calendar.
- Keep one hour free of screens and tasks. Walk, rest, or read something that feeds you.
- Write a short note of thanks to someone who helped you. Send it or keep it. Both count.
- Spend twenty minutes outside with no goal except noticing.
- Share honestly with others on the path, for example in our Connections Discussion Group.
When you miss a day
You will. Everyone does. Missing a day isn't failure. It's just a day. Begin again tomorrow morning with one breath.
